Kishan Mistri Physiotherapist at KM Physio in Naas

Kishan Mistri

Kishan was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa and graduated with an honours degree in Physiotherapy from the University Of Cape Town in 2004. As a schoolboy, he was involved in several sports and a shoulder injury on the rugby field was part of what prompted him towards a path in Physiotherapy and Pilates.

Kishan has worked in both public and private hospitals, including Baragwanath Hospital (one of the world’s largest hospitals based in the township Soweto). He attended patients in Adult Neurology, Orthopaedics and Paediatric Physiotherapy.

Over the succeeding 17 years he has honed his expertise in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Paediatric Physiotherapy, Orthopaedic Physiotherapy, Neurology and Pilates. Kishan has pursued numerous post graduate studies including training in mat and reformer Stott Pilates. He has also
trained in antenatal and postnatal Pilates through the APPI.

Kishan relocated to Naas, Co. Kildare in 2008 and continued his sporting interests in; running (up to marathon distance), cycling (with the Wicklow 200 and Galway cycle being proud conquests), triathlon (up to half Iron Man distance), squash and cricket.

Kishan is keen sportsman in both team and individual sports and has had his fair share of injuries which, he feels this has made him a better Physiotherapist in terms of understanding what a patient is going through, helping him to provide complete care and effective rehabilitation solutions. Kishan enjoys helping athletes and non-athletes alike to achieve their goals and successes during their recovery and beyond.
